Who We Are
Mission and Vision
“Give thanks to the LORD for He is good: His love endures forever.”
Psalm 107:1
Our Mission and Vision
Our Foundation
Our church name is Immanuel which means “God with us”. Immanuel is one of the names of Jesus, who came into this world to meet all of us where we are at, to absorb our mistakes and brokenness, and to lead us into a better tomorrow.
As Immanuel, a people trusting that God is with us, we seek to live in community. We live in community with each other as we worship on Sunday mornings. We live in community as we run programs and events for all ages. We live in community with our neighbours in Brampton and Caledon as we find ways to serve.
Mission: Immanuel exists to encourage, equip, enfold and engage with all people to reach out and serve with the transforming love of Jesus.
Vision: Training people to love like Jesus and bring hope, healing and wholeness to the world.
Our two word summary of the above: Transforming lives
Community & Partnerships
Immanuel is a unique community. We have much in common with other churches, of course, but God has led us to some unique opportunities. We believe in following God’s lead and so these partnerships help to shape our identity.
We have a Spanish congregation called La Roca.
Community
We have a commitment to the Brampton Neighbourhood of McHardy/FairOaks. Before Covid, we led weekly Bible studies and prayer times there, we planted a community garden, painted homes, gathered for Christmas and Family Day brunches - always seeking to connect, love and serve in the name of Jesus.
